About the Author

Paul Davies was Managing Director of Unisys India, responsible both for developing the business within the Indian domestic market and also for transferring IT development and significant business processes to India from the U.S. and Europe.

In India he created a unique network of contacts across commerce, professional services and government at both national and state level. His customers in India included both the largest private sector bank, ICICI, the largest government owned bank, State Bank of India, and Air India. He developed an innovative corporate social responsibility programme, aimed at helping small and medium businesses to grow and develop their markets overseas.

Davies has had a successful career in the IT industry, responsible for creating a partnership worth a potential $100 million with Microsoft, and prior to that managing major financial services accounts. He was initially based in Holland where he was responsible for ensuring international marketing co-operation and first developed his interest in cross-cultural business development.

Currently, he is the Managing Director of Onshore Offshore Ltd., a consultancy providing initial advice through to implementation of offshore services, from business process outsourcing to information technology development and projects; as well as advice and consultancy to Indian companies that wish to address the European and US markets more effectively.
